The Unitree H2 is the most affordable full-size humanoid robot in the world at $29,900, standing 182 cm tall with 31 degrees of freedom and 360 N·m of leg joint torque. Unveiled in October 2025 and showcased at CES 2026 performing backflips, kung fu, and sword dances, the H2 went viral during the 2026 Spring Festival Gala when it appeared as the Monkey King before an estimated 679 million viewers. It began phased deliveries in April 2026 and targets both commercial service environments and research institutions.


Price Range

The H2 is available in a base Commercial model and an EDU model for development. Dexterous hands are sold separately.

Hand Options (Sold Separately)

The H2 supports two optional dexterous hand systems. The Dex5-1 is a five-finger hand for complex manipulation. The Dex3-1 is a three-finger force-controlled gripper with optional tactile sensing. Neither is included in the base $29,900 price — budget accordingly if manipulation research is your goal.


What Makes the H2 Different from Other Unitree Humanoids?

The H2 fills the gap between the compact G1 and the expensive H1. Here's where it fits.

Human-Scale Proportions at One-Third the H1 Price

At 182 cm, the H2 can interact with standard human-scale environments — doors, counters, shelves, workstations — without environmental modification. The H1 offers similar height but costs 3× more. The G1 is too short (132 cm) for many real-world interaction scenarios.

Lifelike Design

The H2 is the first Unitree humanoid with a bionic head featuring facial features and expression capability. Previous models (G1, H1) had purely functional, faceless designs. This matters for commercial service applications where human comfort during robot interaction is important.

Speed Trade-Off

The H2 deliberately moves slower (~1.5 m/s) than the H1 (3.3 m/s world record). This is a conscious engineering decision — the H2 prioritizes stability, dexterity, and 31-DOF articulation over raw locomotion speed. For industrial applications where precision matters more than sprinting, this is the right trade-off.

Sensor Trade-Off

The base H2 does not include the 3D LiDAR and Intel RealSense depth cameras found on the G1 and H1. If your application requires autonomous SLAM navigation, verify the sensor configuration of the specific H2 variant you are purchasing.


Buyer's Guide: What to Know Before Buying a Unitree H2

The H2 is a brand-new platform with deliveries beginning April 2026. Here's what buyers should understand going in.

It is a first-generation product. The H2 has not been field-tested at scale. While the Spring Festival Gala performance was impressive, those robots operated in a carefully controlled environment with a month of on-site preparation by Unitree engineers. Real-world deployment may surface issues that haven't appeared in demos.

Dexterous hands are extra. The $29,900 base price does not include hands. If you need manipulation capability, expect to pay significantly more for Dex5-1 or Dex3-1 hand modules. Factor this into your total budget.

No LiDAR in the base model. Unlike the G1 and H1, the base H2 relies on binocular cameras rather than LiDAR for perception. This may limit autonomous navigation capabilities compared to LiDAR-equipped platforms.

Weight is substantial. At 70 kg, the H2 is heavy enough that safe handling requires planning. A single person cannot easily move or catch this robot. Ensure your workspace has appropriate clearances and safety protocols.

The EDU variant is where development happens. Like all Unitree humanoids, the base Commercial model is for operations and demonstrations. Custom software development, ROS2 integration, and research applications require the EDU model at a higher price point.

Pre-order logistics. Authorized North American dealers (ToborLife, K-Robotics) accept $2,500 deposits with phased delivery starting April 2026. Institutional purchase orders and NET-30 terms are available for qualified buyers. Lead times will vary as Unitree ramps production.
